I'm BACK !!!

Many of you who know me as either my dear friends or those who attend my scrapbooking classes, are aware that I am generally a highly creative, energetic scrapper. The past few weeks have been a struggle since my brother-in-law passed away. It is amazing how much loosing a loved one can block your creative juices. I haven't scrapped or blogged...just too hard to get motivated. Well, the dry spell is over for me!

I had a few projects underway before things came to a screeching halt and wanted to share one of those with you now. Let me know what you think.... I used Reminisce's Freedom Collection's 1,2,3 to cover a metal barn star. I enhanced the pp by adding stickles and glossy accents to give the pp more dimension, added silver inking to all edges of pp, and then strung silver beading wire across the front and hung glittery chipboard letters that spell out "Celebrate". There are also acrylic stars with stickle highlights hanging from the wire as well. I can use this for any patriotic holiday as either a mantel, table or wall display. I just love how this turned out. (Sorry the image is poor..I will take a better picture tomorrow and repost the pic)

Hi Deb! I just subscribed to your blog. Found you on 2Peas in the msg board. Do you live in Texas? I do and something you said in your blog made me think that you might too. I'm up in the Dallas area and am always looking for fellow Texas scrappers! Send me a note to ladybugandco@yahoo.com if you get the chance!

Tammy
